Retiree ID cards must be renewed every 5-years and/or upon the appointment of a new Chief of Police. If you have an ID card with a Chief signature other than Chief McClure's you are out of compliance, your ID card and CCW privileges are no longer valid.

Whether you still reside in CA or live out of state you may download the Retirees Firearms Qualification Form and qualify at a local pistol range or your local Law Enforcement Agency. You may also decide to qualify under the regulations in the state you live in and obtain your HR-218 card from them..

Any qualified Rangemaster can run you through our MPD qualification course and are authorized to sign you off on the MPD qualification form. FAX and mail the original signed and completed form back to Personnel and Training.
